Eligibility — Age, Qualification & Physical Standards
A candidate must have passed Matriculation and +2 from an institution situated within Himachal Pradesh (this condition does not apply to Bonafide Himachalis). Age is reckoned as on 01-01-2026. Persons with Disabilities (PwD) are not eligible for this recruitment.

Selection Process
Physical Test (PST + PET)
Conducted first, by the HP Police Department. PST measures height (0-6 marks); PET is qualifying only — 1500m race (5:30 min), 100m race (14 sec), High Jump (1.35m) and Broad Jump (4m).
Written Examination
Offline OMR-based objective test — 90 MCQs, 2 hours, 0.25 negative marking, conducted by HPPSC at District/Sub-Division level. Only PST/PET-qualified candidates are admitted.
Document Verification & NCC Evaluation
Carried out by the Police Department for candidates in the zone of consideration; original certificates are checked and NCC certificate marks (C=4, B=2, A=1) are awarded.
Medical Examination
Conducted by the HP Police Department on Commission recommendation, to confirm the candidate meets the required health and fitness standards.
Final Merit (100 marks): Written Exam 90 + Height 6 + NCC Certificate 4. The written exam is offline, OMR-based, 90 MCQs in 2 hours, bilingual (Hindi & English), with 0.25 negative marking per wrong, blank, or multiple-marked answer.

- 4Fill in personal, educational and physical details, and choose ONE district for your Physical Test and Written Test (no change allowed later).
- 5Upload scanned copies of Matriculation & +2 certificates, category certificate (if applicable), photograph and signature as per specifications.
