Eligibility Criteria

Application Fee
A uniform fee of Rs. 600 is charged from all candidates, irrespective of category. Payment is accepted only online — via Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI, or other digital mode — on or before the closing date. The fee, once paid, is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted against any other examination or selection.
Selection Process
Physical Test (PST + PET)
Conducted first, by the HP Police Department. PST measures height (0-6 marks); PET is qualifying only — 1500m race, 100m race, High Jump and Broad Jump.
Written Examination
Offline OMR-based objective test — 90 MCQs, 2 hours, 0.25 negative marking, conducted by HPPSC at District/Sub-Division level. Only PST/PET-qualified candidates are admitted.
Document Verification & NCC Evaluation
Carried out by the Police Department for candidates in the zone of consideration; original certificates are checked and NCC certificate marks (C=4, B=2, A=1) are awarded.
Medical Examination
Conducted by the HP Police Department on Commission recommendation, to confirm the candidate meets the required health and fitness standards.
