Army Recruiting Office (ARO) Palampur, Dharamshala conducts the Agniveer recruitment rally for candidates from Kangra and Chamba districts of Himachal Pradesh. Candidates from the state's other districts are covered by their respective Army Recruiting Office.

Physical Standards — PFT & PMT

The Recruitment Rally includes a Physical Fitness Test (PFT) — a 1.6 km run, pull-ups/beam, a 9-feet ditch jump and zig-zag balance — followed by a Physical Measurement Test (PMT) covering height, chest and weight. Exact timing and measurement standards vary by trade and category, and relaxed standards are typically available for candidates from Himachal Pradesh and other notified hill/Special Class States.

Conducted ARO-wise: Physical Fitness Test (run, pull-ups, ditch jump, balance) followed by Physical Measurement Test (height, chest, weight) as prescribed for the trade and category.

Original certificates are verified and a medical examination confirms fitness as per Army standards.
